If the answer is yes to any of the above, Microsoft Insights is the add-in for you, created by Microsoft Garage and powered by Microsoft Analytics. This add-in will help you stay on top of your task from a single window.
The Microsoft Insights add-in is available to all Office 365 Enterprise E5, Office 365 A5, Office 365 E3, Office 365 E1, Office 365 Nonprofit E5, MyAnalytics add-on, Microsoft 365 E3, Microsoft 365 Business, Business Premium, and Business Essentials customers.
What you will see
Microsoft Insights add-in will appear within your Outlook home ribbon if you are using Outlook web you can access Insights via the ellipsis (…) in the top right-hand corner of a new email window.
1. What is the roll-out plan?
Beginning in late February 2019, users were assigned licenses with the MyAnalytics service enabled. The add-in functionality rolled out in May 2019.
2. When will the Outlook add-in become available?
The Outlook add-in is available now.
3. Does Microsoft insight comply with GDPR?
Yes. Microsoft insight complies with GDPR all insight data is only available to the end user and administrators are not able to access this information from outside your mailbox.
4. Is there a separate Insight app outside of the outlook add-in?
No. This functionality is only available within outlook and outlook online.
5. How can I turn this off for my users?
To turn this new experience off for users, you can disable access to the MyAnalytics service plan with Office 365 PowerShell. Administrators can disable the Insights Outlook add-in for the entire organization by using the Exchange admin centre. Please click here for more information.
